For more than 10 years, University Park Care Center in Pueblo, Colo., has been a popular place to go on Halloween.
Oct. 31, 2012, was no exception. Several hundred children came trick-or-treating at the facility, walking up and down the halls and visiting residents, who sat in the doorways of their rooms handing out candy. With $1,000 worth of treats, children had sweets aplenty.
“It was fun,” said resident Elsie Curtis. “There were so many children. My roommate had fun too.”
Children had fun not only collecting candy but also showing off their costumes.
Some of the residents and associates also dressed up for the event. All the department heads dressed up as M&M’s.
