Typically reserved for the most medically compromised residents, Subacute consists of specialized, short-term services which may include extensive wound care, cardiac or stroke rehabilitation, intensive rehabilitation, pain management, and medically complex care. The goal of subacute care is to enable residents to return to a lower level of care.
