What if I need more assistance than I am receiving?
Regulations concerning levels of care vary from state to state. If a resident needs more care than is being provided at the assisted living community, most American Lifestyles communities have a nursing facility on the same property. If that level of care becomes necessary - either temporarily after a hospital stay, or on a long-term basis - residents of the community get priority placement. In addition, many communities offer on-site rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational and speech therapy.
